MANUFACTURING:

The majority of the plastic pouches are made from some structural chains of the molecule Polyethylene. Several steps manufacture plastic bags:

1. EXTRACTION OF RAW MATERIAL: The first step to make a plastic pouch is the extraction of polyethylene. Polyethylene is obtained from either fissured natural gas or refined oil. Drilling wells reach these underground hydrocarbons. Through the pipes, the cracked natural gas or refined crude is sent to the refinery and petroleum, where the procedure of separation occurs. These are separated into different densities, so the excellent oil required for the plastic could be released. The pure polyethylene chains are then extracted by superheated and pressurized oil or gas, which could then be polymerized and form resin pellets of pure plastic.
2. EXTRUSION OF PLASTIC FILM: After heating, a uniform molten liquid is formed. Air is pumped into it from below, so a long thin balloon of pliable plastic is produced that streams through a tall vertical corridor. As it expands upward, the plastic bubble is cooled, confronting multiple rollers. The plastic is then stretched into thin sheets by the various rollers, which makes the walls of the pouch. The thin layers sheets of plastic are then sent to the printing machine after rolling into two separate flatbeds.
3. PRINTING: Dyes are required for the printing steps. A series of flexographic rollers are needed for the sensitive and light material of plastic. Alcohol-based inks are also the latest in the market. They are extracted from the sugary plant material, which is not harmful to the environment.
4. CONVERSION: The last step is the pressing of the printed sheets from its edges to make the sides of the pouch. It could be designed into various sizes and shapes by slitting and cutting, depends on the product and the brand.
